What does autistic mean yahoo

Autism spectrum disorder is a difference in the way a person's brain develops. People with ASD are born with it and their problems usually begin in the first couple of years of life. They may have trouble with communicating and relating to others. ASD affects different people in different ways. Some people can't speak or learn. Their behavior may seem strange; they may avoid other people; they may pace and move their bodies in unusual ways, like flapping their hands. They may repeat lines from TV shows or movies.

Some might get get super-focused on a single topic or hobby, some of which may be unusual apple varieties, World War I. No one knows exactly what causes ASD. It probably has something to do with DNA — the genes passed down from your parents — and other things, like infections or toxins that change the way the brain develops. Problems during pregnancy and around the time of birth raise the chance of getting autism.

Health issues were chronic urinary tract infections, chronic diarrhoea, and undigested food in stools. Testing of blood, urine, faeces and hair for vitamin and mineral deficiencies, bacterial overgrowth and heavy metal toxicity.

Vitamin and mineral supplementation. Poor eye contact. Could not connect with him. Flapped his hands a lot especially when excited. Seemed to be deaf had selective hearing would not respond to us calling his name.

Could not connect with other children at all. Drunk or drugged look in his eyes like acted like he was high on drugs. Could not self feed very fussy eating habits would not chew certain textures.

Had limited interests obsessive tendencies. Plays with toys more appropriately now, still has a few obsessions with numbers and letters and books mostly. Is in a mainstream pre schools is learning to socialise and doing well there. Eating a more varied diet compared to just gluten and dairy before. Is still shy as he lacks a bit of confidence due to no speech but has improved in all other areas, even gross motor and fine motor skills etc. We went to the Dr. Sick ALL the time, the amt of time we were in the Dr.

He was diagnosed at 2. Then he was put into the public school system. He did not improve any more in regards to his speech or socialization. Then he had another regression and this was quick and horrible. He had more language at 18 mo then he did at 3. He was actually at about a 1 year old level if we were lucky. He started toe walking, hand flapping, spinning all the time, would play alone, only wanted to spin the wheels on his trains, or watch them on the track, no more singing, no words just grunts and whines.

He would take hours to go to sleep at night. He would hit his head, on furniture the walls the floor, so much that he had bruises and we considered buying a helmet for him. I could be on the floor hysterically crying, and he would run past me back and forth like I did not exist. We started biomedical intervention on Oct. The next day, his speech and eye contact had improved.

His temper tantrums started to clear up. In late January, early Feb 08, we brought to Dr. Even his DAN! Likes to practices his letters and draw animals!!!

We are getting our son back! Other info: My son was diagnosed 2 years ago after I fought for years to get a dr to tell me he had autism. He was placed on 2 different medications Concerta and Zoloft at separate times and they both made him worse. After seeing his neurologist the last time and all she could recommend were higher doses of the same drugs that did not work the first time and applying for social security income for him, I was frustrated and started researching.

I found a DAN! He improved almost immediately. At 12 months he developed a series of ear infections where he was administered antibiotics on several occasions; a severe ear infection saw him hospitalised with a nasal gastric tube due to dehydration; over those months he gradually declined into autism.

Symptoms were Ioss of language, not answering to his name, lack of eye contact, limited functional play and odd behaviours turning bike upside down and spinning the wheels ; he seemed to be uninterested in his peers and would often isolate himself from them; no imaginative play, really hard to engage; hand flapping and squealing when really excited; toe walking.

With DAN! Commenced new series of supplementation designed specifically for children on autism spectrum. A month later we commenced supplementation with Methyl B12 and saw some words returning for the first time.

Daily Epsom salts bath help detoxify as well. We have also made environmental changes throughout the home to minimise toxic exposures.

Eat almost everything she could find incl sand, dead flies we used to sprayed our house professionally and lots of these insects just lying around dead before I got a chance to clean them up , basically everything big enough to put in her mouth.

Sit down and play for way longer time and show more interest in learning. Eye contact is very good now. Bad eye contact. Inability to connect with him, he would cry and fall to the floor when greeted.

Dazed look in his eyes like he was. No imaginary play, lined up toys. Difficulty in crowds would stand and stare at walls. Looked out of peripheral vision. Would sometimes not want his feet to touch the floor. Would not swing. Constipation eliminated. Pretend Play with introduction of yeast protocol. Poor eye contact and no interest in other children or any kind of traditional play. He would repeat and obsess over small things, everything he did had a repetitive pattern to it.

He struggled with self control and would act out aggressively, often screaming due to lack of language. Tantrums and meltdowns were a problem. Instead of gaining independence — he seemed to loosing skills — until we began to intervene bio-medically. Biomedical Treatment: DS was three years old when we removed dairy and gluten products.

DS then underwent a series of blood, urine, stool, hair tests to access his overall health. Based on these results he began a rigorous schedule of vitamin and mineral supplementation, digestives enzymes, antifungals and probiotic — to treat the overgrowth and yeast and bacteria in his gut. He also began Methyl B shots and glutathione to stimulate his own detoxification pathways We also treated him with Valtrex, to treat viruses, and eventually moved to a more severe diet — the SCD diet — no starches or sugars.

This brought a tremendous amount of self control. We remained on the SCD diet for 7 months, and this was very helpful. This has been and is an important part of his recovery. Improvements: DS is now 5 years old. He is now able to attend a regular preschool without an aide not possible before. He has always been very selective in what he eats and we still feed him a great deal of baby food or toddler food to get fruits and veggies in him.

We struggle with him putting weight on and full evacuation. One of the worst things for him that changes his disposition is High fructose Corn Syrup. Autistic people are known to have gut biom issues, we need to feed them to help repair that so they can properly utilize the nutrition we are giving them. Happy to have read this passage, it really helped of some of the staffs that are really dangerous for my child. From now on, I will stop giving him things that make autism worse.

Thank u! I agree with you!! This list strikes me as the diet that would also be part of a mold mycotoxins detoxification plan There needs to be better testing developed for determining extent to which exposure to mold mycotoxins through our food supply can affect our bodies and are health.

Genetically modified organisms are completely different than cross or selective breeding. Gmos have had an additional gene from another species forced into the DNA strand.

Instead of 12 — 6 pairs they have This is completely unnatural. This extra gene provides the plant with the resistance to roundup. This allows applications of roundup by plane over the entire crop several times throughout the life of the crop.

Sinks are places the plant stores sugars -fruit, flowers, roots. Even though the plant is resistant to the herbicide effects, it still up takes the roundup and trans locates it to the fruit i. Roundup was patented as an antibiotic a few years back. It is a very potent antibiotic. These micro organisms in the gut weigh approximately 7 pounds and collectively are known as the Microbiome which is an organ as important as the heart.

Corn, corn syrup, and other corn products are in almost every food. Basically crops are soaked to saturation with roundup, then harvested and fed to us. The extra gene, the antibiotic properties of roundup and the way that roundup binds to metals rendering them biologically unavailable and that roundup can substitute for an amino acid in the building of protein molecules are just some of the ways that roundup causes the damage to us that it does.

I encourage you to watch a 35 minute talk by Dr Thierry Vierran titled the Effects on nutrition by gmos. It is on Utube. Dr Vierran spent his entire career developing gmos for industry through the university system in Canada. After 30 years he began to observe very negative effects from the gmos he created and has set out to educate and warn people of these dangers. He is very credible and the presentation will really open your eyes and make you rethink the safety of roundup and gmos.

There are many very credible scientists and Drs doing work in this area. Corn, corn syrup is in everything, its getting fed to animals that were never meant to have GRAIN in their diet. A cow has 7 stomachs and needs grass to ruminate chew to produce milk. Our agri business like the pharma business is corrupt!!! The effects of corn on humans is well documented, over 40 years that I recall. Just think: Every culture that uses corn as a primary ingredient in their diet, well, depression and lack of social, economic growth is stunted.

Look at central and south America, vs Europe. It will become very clear to you. Corn, every once in a while is great, but eaten in generous doses, ingredients in meals daily, well, long terms problems. Just think about it. As a nurse with fifty years experience, I can tell you pediatricians have been advising parents to avoid corn for children four at least 40 years because it contributes to ear infections.

Comment by As a nurse, with 50 years experience, I can tell you pediatricians have recognized that corn is harmful to all young children as it contributes to ear infections. My son is autistic all grain is impossible for him. Corn and dairy too. My son was normal until he had his shots when he was 2. He used to be able to talk until then. Diet change helps so much to give him a better life.

Dark greens are his favorite. Corn rice and oatmeal for him had to go. He could do anything. He was like he was drugged up to sleep all day on those. Trial and error we had to test and watch him dark greens and meats and fruits works for my son.

What medicine for Autism? My brother half has resided with our family since age 10 , now No meds for Autism. It is believed he had a milk allergy since infancy at 10 he acted like a 5 yr old. Growing up with our 3 now adults he became sociable accepted in al environments.

He has Hispanic Anglo genetic disposition. Due to this article I will monitor the corn intake. Recently we have had several dishes with corn. I have noticed an increase in mood and anger episodes He is usually controlled by persuasion verses meds. No one has ever offered him or suggested meds for his autism. He has always eaten his cereal daily without milk only water. We due avoid gluten cereals and sweeten cereal.

Thank you for your time. Nick V. Thank you for bringing this back to the subject……. I am 42 and my pediatrician had me stop eating high fructose corn syrup in to help with allergy symptoms and side effects. Now as for getting children on spectrum to be able to regulate their brains and control their bodies.

Any one have good advice??? Comment by Thank you for bringing this back to the point Autism. I am 42 and my pediatrician had me stop eating high fructose corn syrup in to help with a — March 29, AM. Having autism myself as well as schizophrenia. The Idiocracy in most of you people is just absolutely absurd to go against the facts you know nothing about. This is very well put I read the whole thing twice and I find this to be correct in my opinion.

My 27 yr. Old son has severe behavior issues when he consumes corn products, and even when he consumes gluten free flour products. They cause severe inflammation, and trigger horrible behavior. He suffers from autism.

When the food is removed the behavior stops after 24 hours. Several years after seeing the correlation we a out these foods or have to call for crisis intervention. Some associated development delays can appear even earlier, and often, it can be diagnosed as early as 18 months. Research shows that early intervention leads to positive outcomes later in life for people with autism. They included autistic disorder, childhood disintegrative disorder, pervasive developmental disorder-not otherwise specified PDD-NOS and Asperger syndrome.

Research has made clear that high quality early intervention can improve learning, communication and social skills, as well as underlying brain development. Do you suspect that your feelings and behaviors involve autism? Many people who have autism with lower support needs go undiagnosed until adulthood. Asperger Syndrome Autism Statistics and Facts.
